Hi, I’m Christine, and I’m a proud Army wife and Mama.

Whether you have an interest in personal finances or talking about money makes you want to run for the hills, I hope you will enjoy and benefit from my personal experiences.  This site is for military spouses and their families. 

There aren’t a lot of other careers in this world that make you and your family pack up shop every 1-3 years, separate you and your spouse for months at a time or come with such a crazy-complicated set of rules and regulations, but hey, that’s Military Life.  Of course my life might be a little less complicated if my husband weren’t in the Army, but for right now, I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.  I embrace it.

A Jill of All Trades

I’ve been a SAHM and a working ouside of the home mom.  I’ve been married to my husband for 8 years and we’ve done the PCS thing (6 times), we’ve done the deployment thing, we’ve lived OCONUS, bought cars, rented houses, bought houses…basically, we’ve dipped our toes into a little bit of everything.

I got the idea to start Her Money Moves when a friend of mine who also happens to be a Navy Reservist, jokingly said to me, “Christine, I’m not going to make any more financial decisions without consulting you first, I wish I would have known this information sooner, are you in some type of secret military spouse finance club?”.  Then it dawned on me, I have 10 years of real-world working experience in finance, a degree in finance, a passion for finance, and A LOT of opinions…PERFECT…I’ll start a blog! 

Here’s What We Can Do Together

Finance is fun and exciting (I swear) and I want to help you uncover a passion for it as well.  You and your family work hard for your money, so let’s put it to use wisely!  That military paycheck comes with its own set of complications but also a lot of benefits, so let’s tap into those too! Whether you are a one or two paycheck family, it doesn’t matter, let’s be smart with your money and do more!
