May is Military Appreciation Month and it stuffed full of special days that honor and reflect on our proud American military heritage. Check out all the freebies and offers below that you might qualify for, especially during Memorial Day Weekend.

With so many days to celebrate Military Appreciation in May, one of these days will apply to you or someone you know: Loyalty Day (May 1st), Public Service Recognition Week (May 7th-May 13th), Victory in Europe, aka VE Day (May 8th), Military Spouse Appreciation Day (May 12th), Armed Forces Day (May 20th), and Memorial Day (May 29th).

Blue Star Museums: From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend enjoy Blue Star Museums for FREE!
National Park Service: Active-duty military members and most members of the US Reserves and National Guard, and their dependents are eligible for a free military annual pass to any national park that usually charges a fee. (This is a year round offer)
King’s Dominion/Kinds Island/Knotts Berry Farm: offering free park admission to any active, veterans or retired servicemembers May 27-29, 2017.
Colonial Williamsburg: free admission during Memorial Day weekend to all active-duty military, retired, veterans, reservists, National Guard and their direct dependents.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill – a free lunch or dinner entrée on Memorial Day.
McCormick & Schmick’s – participating locations will offer active-duty servicemembers, National Guard and vets a complimentary lunch or dinner on Memorial Day.
Shoney’s: Free All-American Burger to all active-duty military and vets on Memorial Day.
Twin Peaks: Offers all military a free menu item from their Military Appreciation Menu on Memorial Day.
Hooters: Present military ID at Hooters on Memorial Day and you’ll get a free entrée—a burger, buffalo chicken salad, or 10-piece wings, among other options.
Pie Five Pizza: Present military ID, you’ll get a free personalized pizza on Memorial Day.
Applebee’s: Up to 10% off with valid military ID.
Cinnabon: Save 15% at participating locations daily with your military ID.
Dunkin’ Donuts: Take 10% off all online orders every day with your Veterans Advantage membership.
IHOP: 10% off for retired military, and veterans
Lone Star Steakhouse: 20% off on Mondays, and 10% all other days of the week with valid military ID.
McCallister’s Deli: Free meal to all active duty military. Includes complimentary entree, drink and dessert on Memorial Day.
Outback Steakhouse: 10% off with valid military ID.
Texas Roadhouse: Receive up to 30% off at participating locations with valid military ID.
FREE Advice: A good rule of thumb is to always call ahead or check with each vendor to make sure they are honoring the discount before you go.
